Tartan Day is here!
In honor of my Scottish roots, I give you some images of Scotland. I scanned only a few images so far, but more will follow. Hopefully, the few that I've posted in the entended entry will give you taste, something that will whet your appetite for more, which desire can only be assuaged by traveling to Scotland.

Ith has more. A shot of Stirling Castle
Downtown Stirling
Two views of the castle's perimeter defenses
B&B where we stayed, right at the base of the hill upon which Castle Stirling sits; you can see it above the roof of the house
Images from inside the William Wallace monument
And me and my partners in crime. The Rovers are dormant, but they are not extinct.
Oh, and don't forget the William Wallace Single Malt Whiskey Liqueur.

I've never had William Wallace Scotch so I don't know how it compares. But my favorite is Glenmorangie 18 year. It's Scotch the way it should be.

I always keep a stock of Wallace on hand. It is such a superb after dinner treat, light, a wonderful Scotch flavor but slightly sweetened. I have not been able to find it in the USA so have to bring it back whenever I get to Britain. I serve only to the most precious friends. If anyone knows where it might be available in the US, please let me know. The last I purchased was at the Army-Navy Store in London. I am down to 1 1/2 bottles and am starting to panic. I strongly recommend it if you are an ardent Scotch drinker and want something just a bit different - by itself in a brandy snifter.
