Some things just go together

I knew that Alyssa Milano was an avid Dodgers's fan. What I didn't know was that she had a blog dedicated to her favorite team. She's even typed an open letter to manager Grady Little who, I must confess, I have some affection for, as he was the manager of the AAA franchise here in Richmond some years back, and a pretty good one to boot, although I'm quite certain that Red Sox fans would disagree with my assessment of his managerial skills. In any event, beautiful women and baseball belong together.

Alyssa, I'm a longtime fan of your's, but I have to express my disappointment with your choice of a team to back. The only real choice is, of course, the DEFENDING WORLD SERIES CHAMPION ST. LOUIS CARDINALS.

Yeah, I really enjoy saying that. It's just a pity that I won't be saying it for much longer.

Thanks to Jeff Goldstein for the link.

1 Dodger colors are Red, White, and Blue. Cardinal colors appear to be just... red. Like Bolshies. Of course, there are worse. The colors of the Foul, Satan-worshipping Devilspawn from San Francisco are orange and black. Like a moldy pumpkin.

2 The Dodger color scheme is, of course, a fake. This is LA, remember? While not to be confused with Moscow by the Bay, it's closer to some real communist lovin' than a team whose color was unfortunately chosen to match August Busch's nose after he'd finished a case of Budweiser. Other teams whose colors offer some insight? The Yankees. Their color is black, much like the soul of the team.

3 The only reason the Cards took the WS last year is because Beltran is a... I won't take that sentence any further with the fear of scaring children and small animals. Suffice it to say, the Mets should have won. Hmph. And yes, as a die-hard Sawx fan, Little needs to be taken out back and strung up by his pinky nails. Next door to Francona.
