It's a girl!!!

Our family has just increased in size by two feet; child #1 is now a big brother. The newest addition to our family arrived at 1:12 p.m. yesterday afternoon, weighing in at 8 pounds, 13 ounces. I now have one of each. Apparently I've collected the whole set.

I'm amazingly happy right now. Also incredibly busy. Posting will be sporadic until things settle down around the house. Anyway, woo hoo!!

Update: Below is a picture of my newest packet of joy. It was taken about 5 minutes after her birth.

4 Thanks all of you for the good wishes. If I sound incoherent right now, well, combine giddiness with sleep deprivation and you get the idea. The only thing missing is a lot of beer. Unfortunately, it's going to remain missing until baby #2 gets into a good schedule.

5 "Posting will be sporadic until things settle down around the house." Ummm - sorry just can't hold back. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Congratulations and we'll be seeing you blogging in about 20 years... make that 35 years since you now have a daughter. *big grin* Anyhow, she's beautiful, have lots of fun - buy earplugs! There is no sound quite so piercing as the shriek of small girls, boys try hard, but they simply can't get that really high note.
