So Jeff Goldstein is going behind enemy lines at the Democratic National Convention. No word yet on whether Ann Coulter will show up as his room with a 6-pack of Mickey's Big Mouth again. Stay tuned.

Jury duty? Dude. I'm sorry. I got lucky during my 6 weeks. Every trial that I was scheduled for got settled in advance so I never had to actually sit in the box.

Ours is actually a one-day thing. You don't go in, you're off the hook for the year.
But actually, I like it. Civic responsibility and all that. Yeah, it cuts into productive, paying work but it's important.
Oh, and I'm on the jury. Soon as my name was called in the first twelve I knew it was gonna happen.
