Long forgotten, but not long gone
Well, the last post in this series can be found here
. Please ignore the date. I promise to continue the series with a post on bottling soon. Afterward, I plan to start a Brewing An Intermediate Beer series, followed by an all grain advanced series. To be fair, I haven't done many all grain beers because, well, I have two (soon to be three) small children around the house and, much as I enjoy brewing, I enjoy spending time with my kids even more. However, brewing is one of my best loved hobbies and I really appreciate the opportunity to post some information for the 2-3 readers that I have.
Hmm. I think that I'll even post a mead series or two. You have to be more patient with honey wine, but the results can be fabulous. I have a 17 year old bottle that I'm saving for after the baby is born so that I can share it with my wife.

I bottled my first batch last weekend. It aged in secondary fermenter for 2 weeks, so I'm hoping it'll be ready to sample next weekend.
My racking cane is just a bit too small for the vinyl tubing. The seal isn't airtight, so the siphon thing is a pain. I think I'll just use spigots on the fermenter buckets to avoid having to siphon into the secondary. But I guess I'll still have to siphon it out to the priming bucket.
The first batch was a cream ale kit. The second batch will be an Arizona IPA kit recipe from the local brew store.
After that, I may just go get some extract and hops and wing it.
